About The Artist
With over 12 years of metallurgy experience, Shane has been helping to push the electroforming art space forward for years. By combining a unique mixture of electroforming, wire wrapping and 3d printing he has created a plethora of whimsical artifacts.
Shane's Artificer journey began in Duluth Minnesota 2008. While in university he took up work at a local glass art gallery. Over the next four years he was trained in electroforming and other cold working techniques.
In 2014 he lived in South Korea for one year. While there he taught himself to wire wrap, while also immersing himself in the culture and art of the country. Upon returning to Minnesota in 2015, he formally started Infinite Alchemics.
Inspired by his recent travels, fantasy stories, games, and other media of his childhood Shane's personal portfolio began to grow. It held a certain Magic about it that quickly garnered local attention. Featured in multiple stores around the Twin Cities, Shane's work continues to impress and delight.
"I try to create work that feels ancient and powerful when held or worn. I want the wielder to connect with both my intent and design immediately." - Shane
This personal philosophy is what continues to drive his work to this day. Trying to walk the line between reality and fantasy Shane aims to continue his diligent dedication to creating mystical and magical artifacts for others to enjoy.
